I am always drawn to forgotten and abandoned places because of the unanswered questions that they pose. What were the circumstances that led to the abandonment of this dwelling? What about those who once lived there and where are they now?

Inside the house was garbage and other personal effects strewn about the floor. The sight of this angel sitting on the window sill caught my eye. The presence of this serene figure seemed so out of place and yet it was so significant.

It spoke to me in that it made me realize that grace is everywhere despite our surroundings, even amid the chaos and emptiness that we sometimes find ourselves in. Linda Woodard © 2011

As some of you may or may not know, Ted has been ill for 9 months now and his illness finally caused him to be admitted to London Health Sciences Centre in London, On. When I arrived that night at the University Campus, Ted was struggling to breath. His respirations were 32 a minute and he was obviously distresed. The docs decided Ted should be intubated and placed on a ventilator to help him breathe. It was 11:30 p.m. when Ted was sedated so that the ventilator could breathe for him. At 3 a.m. he was transferred via ambulance to the Victoria Campus to the Critical Care Trauma Center (TTCT) where he remains.
